Telit Communications Signs Commercial Partnership With Orange

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Telit Communications PLC (TCM.LN), an international leader in wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) technology, Tuesday announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Telit Wireless Solutions, has entered into an agreement with Orange Business Services (FTE.FR), a corporate telecommunications operators, whereby Telit will distribute Orange Business Services' complete range of M2M solutions on the French market. MAIN FACTS: -The partnership between Orange Business Services and Telit, an Italian specialist in the production of GSM/GPRS/3G modules for integrated M2M solutions, is an opportunity for two major players in the M2M market to collaborate and provide a machine-to-machine portfolio. -Telit will use the distribution channels which it already possesses to actively market Orange Business Services' data services. -The partnership will bring both companies better market penetration and an increased use of their M2M solutions. -The company expects that the partnership will have a positive effect on its distribution activities. -Shares closed Monday at 38.5 pence.
