PRESS: De La Rue Shareholder Urges Chair Philip Rogerson To Quit - Sky

(Alliance News) - De La Rue PLC shareholder Crystal Amber Fund Ltd intends to call an emergency general meeting unless Chair Philip Rogerson leaves this month, Sky News reported late Tuesday.

At the end of June, the banknote and security documents printer said Rogerson has decided to retire once he has helped find a new chief executive officer for the company.

Chief Executive Martin Sutherland's departure was announced at the end of May and De La Rue said he will leave "as soon as his successor is in place". Sutherland stepped down amid a sharp drop in the company's annual profit.

Turning back to Sky's report, the news agency said a number of shareholders have expressed concerns Rogerson plans to stay until a new CEO is in place and are likely to support a move to oust him at an earlier juncture.
