LONDON (Alliance News) - NetScientific PLC said Monday that Executive Director of Commercial and Legal Nicholas Heckford will retire and depart from the board at the end of September.
In a statement ahead of the company's annual general meeting NetScientific said that most of Heckford's responsibilities will be taken up by Company Secretary Ernest Schneider.
New Chief Executive François Martelet will present at the company's annual general meeting, and will highlight his plans to undergo a portfolio review in the three healthcare segments, and to accelerate growth in the company's lead portfolio companies whilst selling its interests in non-core assets.
The healthcare technology group said that the company's review of its business strategy has "led to a revitalised focus on funding, development and management of early and mid-stage healthcare technology companies, sourced from USA and UK strategic partnerships."
NetScientific said it is focused on proven technology in digital health, diagnostics and therapeutics, which represent "highly attractive growth markets where breakthrough technology solutions are in high demand."
Shares in NetScientific are trading down 4.8% at 180.00 pence Monday morning.
