Thu, 05th Nov 2015 09:46

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mercia Technologies PLC on Thursday revealed that it has invested GBP1.5 million into Edge Case Games alongside a GBP1.0 million investment by Chinese software publishing house Seasun Games Corp Ltd.

Edge Case Games is the developer and publisher of the PC-based tactical space combat game, Fractured Space.

In addition, Mercia, a Midlands-based investment group, said that Edge Case has agreed a strategic partnership with Seasun Games.

"With a key strategic partnership now in place with Seasun Games, we are confident that Edge Case Games will gain a strong foothold in the emerging and expanding markets of Asia," Mercia Chief Executive Mark Payton said in a statement.

Seasun Games' parent company is Hong Kong-listed Kingsoft Corp Ltd.

Shares in Mercia were up 0.9% at 56.00 pence on Thursday morning.
