Former Tate & Lyle Boss Iain Ferguson To Chair Crest Nicholson Board

(Alliance News) - Housebuilder Crest Nicholson Holdings PLC on Wednesday appointed the former chief executive of foods firm Tate & Lyle PLC as chair.

Iain Ferguson will become non-executive chair at the start of November, with current Non-Executive Chair Stephen Stone stepping down the day before.

Ferguson is a "highly experienced" public company director, Crest Nicholson said. As well as leading Tate & Lyle, he was previously non-executive chair of infrastructure firm Stobart Group Ltd and senior independent director of construction company Balfour Beatty PLC.

Stone is a former CEO of Crest Nicholson, moving to executive chair in March 2018 and then non-executive chair a year later.

Deputy Chair & Senior Independent Director Leslie van de Walle said: "I would like to pay tribute to Stephen's leadership and immense contribution to Crest Nicholson's success over many years both as chief executive and chair and as a leader in the industry. We are delighted to have secured Iain as chair.

"His impressive track record makes him ideally suited to lead the next phase of Crest Nicholson's future."

Crest Nicholson shares were were 2.1% higher on Wednesday morning in London at 377.20 pence each.
