LONDON (Alliance News) - Shipping services provider Clarkson PLC on Thursday appointed William Thomas as chair of the company with immediate effect.
Thomas is currently the chair of Spirent Communications PLC and Node4. He also serves as non-executive director of Co-operative Bank PLC.
Clarkson added that Thomas "brings extensive international technology and management experience" as he has previously served as a non-executive director on the boards of GFI SARL, XChanging PLC, Balfour Beatty PLC and VFS Global. His executive career also included senior roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co and EDS.
Ed Warner, who has acted as chair since March 2018 whilst former chair James Hughes-Hallett recovered from an illness, has stepped down from the board.
Hughes-Hallett remains as a non-executive director of the firm.
Clarkson shares were trading down 1.6% at 2,465.00 pence each on Thursday morning.
