Chamberlin on track for full year

Tue, 11th Oct 2011 07:32

Castings and engineering group Chamberlin said trading in the first half of the financial year has been in line with management forecasts. The group, which makes metal products such as door handles and steering wheel components, said order flow across core foundry activities has reflected predicted schedules and demand has continued to strengthen through the period. The Walsall based group, which exports 70% of its output, said new business development initiatives have helped to support the positive trading momentum, it explained. "As a result the company continues to trade in line with current market expectations," it said. Chamberlin, which supplies critical turbocharger components to the automotive sector, said it continues to consider complementary acquisitions and sees further growth opportunities in the second half. ---cj
