Bluefield Solar Income Buys Five UK Solar Projects For GBP22.7 Million

Wed, 07th Dec 2016 09:17

LONDON (Alliance News) - Bluefield Solar Income Fund Ltd on Wednesday said it has agreed to acquire five solar power plants in the UK for a total of GBP22.7 million.

Three of the projects are being constructed by Parabel UK Ltd, the contractor on Bluefield's Ashlawn and North Beer projects. The three newly acquired plants are located in Essex, Leicestershire and south Wales.

The two remaining projects, in Staffordshire and Northamptonshire, are being constructed by Solar Century Holding Ltd.

"The company is committed to maintaining its strong pricing and return disciplines by preferring growth in primary markets rather than in the secondary markets, where returns are lower as increasing competition squeezes prices in a finite pool of assets," said Bluefield Chairman John Rennocks.

Bluefield shares were down 0.5% at 105.51 pence on Wednesday.
