Beverage can maker Rexam jointly buys Panamanian business Endelis

Jan 15 (Reuters) - Rexam Plc, the world's secondlargest beverage can maker in terms of revenue, said it hascompleted investment in Panamanian single-line beverage canplant Envases Del Istmo SA (Endelis) jointly with EnvasesUniversales de Mexico (EUM).

Rexam, which makes 20 percent of world's cans for beveragesincluding beer, soft drinks, juices, energy drinks, wine andtea, said it had secured long-term supply agreements withSABMiller Plc and Florida Ice & Farm Company SA.

Affiliates of SABMiller and Florida Ice previously owned theEndelis business. Financial details of the deal were notdisclosed. (Reporting by Aashika Jain in Bengaluru; Editing by GopakumarWarrier)
