Avon Rubber Secures USD42 Million US Order For M50 Masks

LONDON (Alliance News) - Rubber products manufacturer Avon Rubber PLC on Thursday said it has secured an order for M50 masks from the US Department of Defense.

Avon has received an order for 166,623 of the masks under its 10-year sole-source contract with the US government, worth around USD42.0 million.

The order secures the anticipated M50 mask sales to the US DoD for Avon's 2016 financial year, it said.

Avon will publish its interim results for the six months to the end of March on May 4.

Avon shares were up 0.1% to 760.5 pence.
