Assura CEO Graham Roberts Steps Down To Focus On Cancer Treatment

Tue, 14th Jun 2016 07:00

LONDON (Alliance News) - Healthcare real estate investment trust Assura PLC on Tuesday said Chief Executive Graham Roberts is stepping down from his role in order to focus on his treatment for cancer.

Roberts has been taking leave of absence since March after being diagnosed with cancer in February. He will now step down with immediate effect and Assura will commence a process to find a replacement.

Chairman Simon Laffin will remain in an executive role until a new CEO is appointed.

"All of us are greatly saddened by Graham's illness and resignation, and wish him well. He has left a business in great shape with a fine team. We shall continue to grow Assura and support NHS primary care in the UK," Laffin said in a statement.
