Amec Foster Wheeler Gets Extension To Abu Dhabi Field Contract

Tue, 18th Aug 2015 06:16

LONDON (Alliance News) - Engineering services company Amec Foster Wheeler PLC on Tuesday said it has won an extension on its project management consultancy contract for the UZ750 project in the Upper Zakum field in Abu Dhabi.

No financial details on the contract were disclosed.

The FTSE 250-listed company said the contract has been awarded by the Zakum Development Co, which operates the oil field in a joint venture involving Abu Dhabi National Oil Co, US major ExxonMobil Inc and the Japan Oil Development Co Ltd.

The UZ750 project started in 2008 to redevelop the Upper Zakum field, which is the second largest oil field in the Gulf region, and Amec has been involved with the project since it started.
