Britain's small-cap equity indexes rise in mid-session trade, performingbroadly in line with the blue-chips.
The FTSE Small Caps Index is up 0.1 percent while the FTSE AIM AllShare Index advances 0.4 percent, with the blue-chip FTSE 100 index up 0.3 percent while the FTSE 250 mid-cap index - which hitrecord highs this month - gains 0.6 percent.
Clean Air Power edges up by 2.8 percent after the company - whichdevelops combustion technology for heavy duty diesel engines aimed at cuttingdown on carbon emissions - strikes a testing deal with United Parcel ServiceInc.
Cantor analyst Caroline de La Soujeole keeps a "buy" rating on Clean AirPower's shares.
"We believe Clean Air Power has an attractive technology with significantgrowth potential. The company is well positioned to take advantage of thegrowing gas-powered vehicle market worldwide," she writes in a note.
Infrastrata also rises 9.9 percent after the company energycompany publishes an update on its operations, which shows progress at some ofits major projects.
Volex slips 1 percent lower after the company - which provides powerproducts for a wide range of sectors including telecoms, industry and healthcare- says its chairman will step down.
