Miner Nyota Minerals said drilling at its flagship Tulu Kapi gold project in Ethiopia has confirmed the presence of a new mineralized structure beneath the inferred resource of 1.38m ounces of gold.Also in gold mining, Mariana Resources said it made an encouraging intersection of gold north of the Belleza prospect in Chile.Chinese digital video surveillance firm BlueStar SecuTech has won a new contract with the Tangshan Public Security Bureau worth about RMB 9 million (£0.9 million). The contract is to provide networked surveillance services and solutions at approximately 300 Police Stations and 15 Police Security Bureaus in Tangshan City. This is BlueStar's first networking project with a municipal Public Security Bureau. Once the project has been successfully completed, BlueStar management believes it can be replicated in other cities across China according to the requirement by The Ministry of Public Security of China.Drug delivery and device technologies firm Consort Medical saw pre-tax profit fall 13% to £10.5m on revenue that fell to £118.6m from £120.3m before.The group said the results were due to the group facing destocking across its markets during the year, a material price reduction in one of Bespak's key contracts and a weak hospital market in the US for King Systems. Final dividend was maintained at 12.1p per share.Marketing services company Work Group said Rose Colledge will be appointed group chief executive with effect from June 21st, while finance director Michael Warren has decided to step down with effect from July 31st. "We have maintained our broad spread of clients and only 10 per cent of our income is derived from public sector organisations. Consequently we see no reason why expectations for the current year will not be met," said the group.Biopharmaceutical tiddler Valirx said it has now completed the first year of a two year Eurostars grant programme in which all developmental milestones have been met.
