UK small caps close up 0.3 percent, compared to gains of 0.1 percenton the mid-caps and the blue chips.
Innovation Group gains 1.9 percent after signing a strategicagreement with insurer AXA France.
"We see Innovation Group entering a period of earnings momentum and thiswin, along with other recent announced contract signings, suggests to us that weshould see upgrades ahead," Investec says in a note, retaining a "buy" rating onthe stock.
Redefine International gains 3.5 percent after announcing 10.7percent growth in net asset value in its half-yearly results.
"On today's results, significantly reduced debt... and a recurring dividendof 7-8 percent, we see potential for RDI's share price to move forward," PeelHunt says in a note, raising their rating on the stock to "buy" from "hold".
