GlaxoSmithKline PLC - Hires Charles Bancroft, a veteran of Bristol Myers Squibb, as non-executive director from May 1. Among other senior roles, Bancroft was chief financial officer for US pharmaceutical company. He also was a member of the board of Colgate-Palmolive Co until this month.

BP PLC - Paula Reynolds to become senior independent director from May 27 AGM, succeeding Ian Davis, who is retiring.

St Modwen Properties PLC - Mark Allan brings forward departure as chief executive to April 13 from April 30. Chief Finance & Operations Officer Rob Hudson to be interim CEO, as the search for a new permanent CEO continues.

AIB Group PLC - Tom Foley to retire as independent non-executive director from April 29 annual general meeting, having served on the board since September 2012.

James Fisher & Sons PLC - Fergus Graham steps down as director of Marine Support Division and from board immediately. Will remain employee until March 19 next year.

Volga Gas PLC - Stewart Dickson and Andrei Yakovlev hired as independent non-executive directors, immediately. Dickson is CEO of Sydney-listed Variscan Mines Ltd. Yakovlev is a lawyer specialising in corporate finance. Vladimir Koshcheev to retire as non-executive director at next AGM.

SpaceandPeople PLC - Promotes Client Services Director Andrew Keiller to board as executive director. Joined SpaceandPeople in 2012.

Tissue Regenix Group PLC - Executive Chair John Samuel to step down from board after 12 years with company. Non-Executive Director Jonathan Glenn made interim non-executive chair, immediately. Glenn was CEO of Consort Medical before its acquisition by Recipharm AB.

TransGlobe Energy Corp - Susan MacKenzie to retire from board at May 13 AGM. Timothy Marchant hired as independent non-executive director from Friday. Marchant is a professor in Calgary, Canada and a 30-year veteran of the exploration and production field.

BlackRock North American Income Trust PLC - Non-Executive Director Alice Ryder named senior independent director.
