Small cap round up: Avesco, Geopark, DQ Entertainment.....

Fri, 12th Mar 2010 12:01

Shares in Avesco ticked up after the provider of technical support for broadcasting and entertainment events said it had a successful Winter Olympics at Vancouver.'With contracts in place over the summer for the FIFA World Cup and the World Expo in Shanghai, the Avesco group expects to trade profitably for the year and to be strongly cash generative,' chief executive Ian Martin added at the company's annual meeting yesterday.Latin American oil and gas explorer and producer Geopark has formed a strategic partnership with Korean conglomerate LG International to jointly acquire and develop upstream oil and gas projects in Latin America. The partnership will initially target upstream projects in the $100m to $500m price band.Animation and entertainment group DQ Entertainment has completed the IPO of its Indian subsidiary and the pricing will be decided on 13 March. The IPO will raise between £17.5m and £19m. Brownfield land developer Property Recycling reported a rise in its full year loss due to a £975,000 impairment charge. Revenue rose from £881,000 to £1.16m in 2009 thanks to a £300,000 option fee. The overall loss increased from £200,000 to £905,000 so there would have been a small profit without the impairment charge. There was a cash inflow of £611,000 during 2009. Net debt was £1.65m at the end of 2009. Skin treatments developer Syntopix has reduced the cash outflow from its operations from £736,000 to £498,000 in the six months to January 2010. The outflow is similar to the level in the second half of last year. Syntopix has reduced its research and development spending. This leaves Syntopix with net cash of £396,000. Syntopix says that it is finalising plans for a share issue.
