SolGold Continues Drilling On Casabel With Strong Mineralisation Seen

Mon, 16th May 2016 09:28

LONDON (Alliance News) - SolGold PLC on Monday said drilling has continued at its Cascabel copper-gold porphyry project in Ecuador, with strong mineralisation apparent at the site.

SolGold said Hole 17 passed into significant, intrusion hosted, visible porphyry-style copper sulphide mineralisation from 641.3 metres depth, and has intersected over 350 metres of significant mineralisation to date.

SolGold added that there was "very intense visible bornite-chalcopyrite copper sulphide mineralisation from 816.2 metres" at Hold 17, and said Hole 17 continued to intersect intense visible mineralisation to the current depth of 999.2 metres.

SolGold said that Rig 2 continues drilling Hole 15R2 towards a revised planned depth of 2,000 metres, having intersected more than 950 metres of significant intrusion hosted porphyry style copper sulphide mineralisation from 803.2 metres to the current depth of 1,749.4 metres.

Assay results and a detailed review on Hole 15R2 will be forthcoming when assay results are released later in the month of May, SolGold added.

Shares in SolGold were up 3.4% at 3.67 pence on Monday morning.
