LONDON (Alliance News) - Synectics PLC said Monday it has won two contract extensions with Berlin's public transport operator Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe, known as BVG, worth a total of EUR4 million.
The surveillance technology and security systems company said its European transport operation Indanet will provide maintenance services for the closed-circuit television and information infrastructure of BVG.
The two contracts relate to the security of BVG's subway network, Synectics said.
"The renewal of these two significant contracts demonstrates the group's ability to win, keep and grow large-scale projects of critical public importance. In addition to these contract wins, Indanet is also in discussion about new opportunities with BVG," said Chief Executive John Shepherd in a statement.
Shares in Synectics were trading down 0.3% at 341.50 pence Monday morning.
