LONDON (Alliance News) - Medical technology firm Scientific Digital Imaging PLC said Friday it appointed Jon Abell as its new chief financial officer from early July.
Abell - who will start on July 2 - is currently vice president of finance for the Electronic Instruments Group at Ametek Inc. Prior to this, he had had senior financial roles at firms including Broadcom Inc and Philips Electronics.
Currently, the CFO role is being done by Chief Executive Officer Michael Creedon. Creedon had been appointed CFO in 2010 and CEO in 2012.
"We are delighted that Jonathan has agreed to join SDI and are confident that his considerable experience will strengthen the board," Chairman Ken Ford said.
Shares in Scientific Digital Imaging were flat at 42.50 pence on Friday.
