Saga said that Chairman Patrick O'Sullivan purchased 100,000 shares at a price of 128.1 pence per share on Friday.
It has not been disclosed how many shares O'Sullivan now holds following this transaction.
Shares in the FTSE 250-listed insurance and travel group closed down 0.5% at 127.60 pence on Tuesday.

Egyptian miner Centamin said Non-Executive Director Mark Bankes bought 40,000 shares in the company on Tuesday.Bankes purchased the shares at 130.37 pence each, for a total cost of approximately GBP52,148. Centamin shares closed 4.0% lower on Tuesday at 125.98p. On Friday last week, the firm reduced guidance for 2018 production from its Sukari gold mine as grades continue to be below budget. It now expects 505,000 to 515,000 ounces of gold compared to its previous guidance of 580,000 ounces.

Dunelm Group said that Chairman Andy Hewson purchased 92,542 shares at a price of 547.53 pence per share on Friday, at a total of GBP506,202. Following this transaction, Hewson now holds 416,480 shares in total, reflecting a 0.2% share in the company. Shares in the FTSE 250-listed home furnishings retailer closed flat at 545.00 pence on Tuesday.

Hibernia REIT said its Chief Investment Officer Richard Ball sold shares in the company. In a transaction last Thursday, Ball disposed 126,000 shares at a price of EUR1.544, worth EUR195,544.
