SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: On the Beach rises on Ryanair deal

Tue, 27th Feb 2024 09:51

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

On the Beach Group PLC, up 12% at 158.8 pence, 12-month range 81.24p-181.6p. The beach package holiday retailer signs a long-term distribution agreement with budget airline Ryanair Holdings PLC. OTB customers will be able to access Ryanair's flights as part of their holiday packages with "full price transparency", while continuing to utilise OTB's flexible payment plans, customer perks and Air Travel Organisers' Licensing protection, OTB says. Agreement "enables both parties to move on from outstanding litigation". OTB had previously sued Ryanair for some GBP2 million over refunds due after flights were cancelled or changed.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Forterra PLC, down 2.6% at 171.2p, 12-month range 122.2p-227.5p. The building product manufacturer sees some slight weakness from industry read-across. The stock is up 4.1% over the past six months, but down 20% over the past year. Fellow brick maker Brickability PLC shares fall 11% on AIM, after reporting "significantly lower" market volumes for bricks in the UK, with lower demand expected to persist in the near-term.
