TechMARK movers: Negative Imagination

Wed, 16th Mar 2011 12:15

Investors' reacted negatively to today's trading statement from chips supplier Imagination Technologies. Imagination continues to see growing demand for its graphics chip technology, though its Digital Audio Broadcasting division, PURE, is finding things a bit tougher. There are also concerns about the supply chain after the Japanese earthquake.Green cleaning technology developer Puricore announced last night that it has agreed heads of terms to sell its endoscopy division for $17m. LED-based products supplier Dialight says that it has reached agreement for the buyout of its US subsidiary's pension scheme at a lower cost than expected. Dialight had indicated that it may cost £3m but the actual cost is £2.4m. There will be a non-cash cost of £700,000 in the first half of 2010 but Dialight will no longer be exposed to any of the scheme's liabilities. Power components supplier XP Power has been falling this week but it has risen sharply today, which is surprising as it is the day the shares go ex-dividend of their 12p a share quarterly dividend. The share price remains well over £1 lower than at the end of last week.
