SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Pollen Street up as AuM and profit climb

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Thursday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Pollen Street Group Ltd, up 14% at 610.00 pence, 12-month range 500.00p-730.00p. The London-based asset manager reports that its assets under management climbed by 36% to GBP4.2 billion at December 31, up from GBP3.4 billion a year earlier. Pretax profit climbs to GBP43.1 million from GBP26.8 million. Pollen Street also announces a GBP30 million share buyback.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

Aptitude Software Group PLC, down 9.5% at 325.00p, 12-month range 224.50p-380.00p. Shares in the subscription management and finance digitalisation company fall, despite a good start to 2024. In the year-to-date, the shares are up 13%.

Secure Trust Bank PLC, down 3.3% at 636.00p, 12-month range 550.00p-750.00p. The provider of savings accounts and lending services reports results for 2023. It says that pretax profit in the year fell to GBP33.4 million from GBP44.0 million a year earlier. Lending balances rise to GBP3.3 billion from GBP2.9 billion. Secure Trust lowers dividend to 32.2p per share, down from 45.1p. Chief Executive David McCreadie says: "Once again, we have demonstrated our ability to grow in 2023 and the group is well placed to realise our ambitions. We are well on our way towards our GBP4 billion net loan book target and delivery of our 14-16% return on average equity target. We remain confident about the future."
