Mediclinic Non-Executive Keating Steps Down Following New CEO Role

(Alliance News) - Mediclinic International PLC said Thursday Independent Non-Executive Director Saemus Keating will step down from his role, at a date to be agreed in due course.

Keating has been part of the London and Johannesburg-listed hospital operator for four years since 2016. On Wednesday, he was appointed as chief executive officer at London-listed trading software developer First Derivatives PLC.

Keating had been non-executive chair at First Derivatives for seven years since 2013.

"On behalf of my colleagues on the board, I would like to thank Seamus for his commitment and valued contributions to the board and the group over the past seven years. We wish him well as he commences his new demanding role," said Mediclinic Chair Edwin Hertzog.

Shares in Mediclinic - which is based in Stellenbosch, South Africa - closed 0.3% higher at ZAR76.90 in Johannesburg, while its London shares were down 1.2% at 408.50 pence on Thursday.
