March 18 (Reuters) - The following financial servicesindustry appointments were announced on Monday. To inform us ofother job changes, email to moves@thomsonreuters.com.

STANDARD CHARTERED PLC

The bank has hired Nomura's head of mergers andacquisitions for Southeast Asia, Jason Morris, to join itsregional M&A team as a managing director, two sources withdirect knowledge of the matter said.

BANK OF CHINA LTD

The bank's Chairman Xiao Gang was named the country's topsecurity regulator on Sunday, the China Securities Journalreported on its website.

NORDEA BANK AB

The Sweden-based bank appointed Lennart Jacobsen as new headof retail banking.

RBC CAPITAL MARKETS

The investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada appointed Michal Katz and Michael Carter as managing directorsand co-heads of its U.S. technology investment banking group.They will be based in New York. It also appointed Erik-JaapMolenaar as managing director in the mergers & acquisitionsgroup focusing on the technology sector. All three joins fromBarclays Plc.

RBC Capital Markets also hired Bruce Garner from StandardBank Group to run the Canadian bank's metals business.Garner will be based in New York.

LLOYDS BANKING GROUP PLC

The bank's commercial banking unit has appointed ChristopheCoutte as head of rates product, based in London. Coutte, whohad earlier worked with Société Générale, will starthis new role on April 2.

BUCK GLOBAL INVESTMENT ADVISORS

The company, which advises small and mid-sized pensionfunds, appointed Bernard Nelson as a senior investmentconsultant. Nelson will advise UK defined benefit and definedcontribution clients on investment policies.

AVENUE CAPITAL

The hedge fund named Richard Furst as its chief investmentofficer. Furst has been with the New York-based hedge fund since2004 and currently oversees the firm's European investmentstrategy.

BLUE DIAMOND ASSET MANAGEMENT AG

The privately held Switzerland-based investment firmappointed Erik Valtonen as chief executive.

BCS FINANCIAL GROUP

The Russia-based financial institution appointed IgorGoncharov as senior utilities analyst for its research arm.Goncharov was earlier a senior research analyst in Russianelectric utilities with ING Bank in Moscow.

BAILLIE GIFFORD & CO

The Edinburgh-based investment management firm appointedChris Whittingslow as regional sales manager for the South West,South Wales and Channel Islands regions.

EDISON INVESTMENT RESEARCH

The investment intelligence company appointed Amit Dayal asan equity analyst covering technology companies and Pooya Hemamias a healthcare analyst. Dayal joins from EntryPoint AdvisorsLLC, while Hemami was previously with Desjardins CapitalMarkets.

IN BRIEF: Capita extends revolving credit facility to end of 2026

Capita PLC - London-based process outsourcing and professional services company - Extends the maturity of its revolving credit facility by just over two years to December 31, 2026 from August 31, 2024. The available facility is for GBP284 million, reducing to GBP250 million by January 1, 2025. The facility was arranged by seven lenders. These comprised two new banking partners, Standard Chartered PLC and the London branch of Bank of China Ltd, plus five existing lenders, including Barclays Bank PLC and Lloyds Banking Group PLC. The original terms of the RCF are "substantially unchanged." Barclays acted as the coordinator for the arrangement.
