Quilter PLC - London-based wealth manager - Appoints Chris Samuel as independent non-executive director, starting Thursday. Samuel was chief executive of Ignis Asset Management until 2014. Currently, he is chair of Quilter Financial Planning Ltd, Quilter's financial advice arm, and of London-listed Blackrock Throgmorton Trust PLC and JPMorgan Japanese Investment Trust PLC. He also is a non-executive director of Alliance Trust PLC and of UIL Ltd. Samuel will step down from the Alliance Trust board in April of next year, Quilter says, and left the board of Sarasin & Partners LLP on Wednesday.
