EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Barbara Jeremiah to be Weir's first female chair

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Friday and Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Weir Group PLC - Glasgow-based engineering firm - Says Charles Berry will retire as chair following 2022 annual general meeting, having completed his nine-year term with the board. Promotes Senior Independent Director Barbara Jeremiah to chair-designate, and she will take over from Berry at conclusion of the 2022 AGM. She has been Weir's senior independent director since 2020, having joined the board in 2017. "She is an excellent choice for chair, and personally, having served on the Hampton-Alexander Review, it is also great to be handing the baton on to the first woman to chair Weir in the group's 150-year history," says Berry.

Vistry Group PLC - Kent, England-based housebuilder - Non-Executive Director Michael Stansfield to resign at end of month. "On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Mike for his valuable contribution to Vistry since he became a Director in November 2017. He has added significantly to the operational capability of the Board in this period," says Chair Ian Tyler.

Cairn Homes PLC - Irish homebuilding company - Jayne McGivern steps down to "pursue a new executive opportunity". "Jayne joined the Board in March 2019 and brought a wealth of experience and insight to our deliberations from her construction experience in various senior positions in both the UK and US. While we are saddened to see her step down from the board, we offer Jayne our best wishes in her future endeavours," says Chair John Reynolds.

Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd - Hong Kong-based property and retailing conglomerate - Says Alex Newbigging will leave the Jardine Matheson group at year-end to relocate to the UK with his family and pursue other interests. He will step down from the board at that date.

EPE Special Opportunities Ltd - investment company - Appoints Michael Gray as non-executive director with immediate effect. He joined Royal Bank of Scotland in 1983, retiring in 2015 after being managing director (Corporate) of RBS International for 10 years. His current appointments include non-executive directorships of GCP Infrastructure Investments PLC, JTC PLC and Team PLC.

Serica Energy PLC - London-based oil & gas company - Appoints Andy Bell as chief financial officer. He joined in 2017 as vice president for finance after previously providing financial consultancy services. "He has extensive experience of upstream finance and systems of reporting and control having worked with a wide range of upstream businesses throughout his career," Serica says.

Nexus Infrastructure PLC - Braintree, Essex-based gas, electricity, water, fibre networks and electrical vehicle charging infrastructure - Non-Executive Chair Geoffrey French to step down at end of 2021. He was appointed to role in 2016. Replacing him is Richard Kilner, who has been a senior non-executive director since 2016.

Schiehallion Fund Ltd - makes minority investments in later stage private businesses which have potential to become publicly-traded - Hires David Chiswell and Richard Holmes as non-executive directors. Chiswell is currently chair of Albireo Pharma Inc and Epsilogen Ltd and a board member of Avillion Bond 2 Development 2 GP. Holmes has worked in various marketing roles at Unilever PLC in London, Paris and Milan and then moved to Boots, where he was marketing director and launched the Boots Advantage Card and set up Boots.com. Holmes currently holds various non-executive positions, including Lok 'n Store Group PLC.
