H&T Group, a High Street pawnbroker, has said that it expects its pre-tax profits to be in line with expectations. Over the period the group continued to expand, and boosted its stores numbers by 26. The firm said that its core pawnbroking operations have continued to perform well, and has become the first UK pawnbroker to build a pledge book of over £50m. At the year-end the group's pledge book was £51.6m, which it said was driven by both new store openings and the group stratifying its interest rates to become more competitive on larger loans.Gold purchasing was down on the previous year, as had been expected.
