LONDON (Alliance News) - GoCompare.com Group PLC at its annual general meeting on Thursday saw shareholders rebel against the approval of director's remuneration report.
At the meeting, around 25% of shareholders voted against resolution two, to approve the publication of the director's remuneration report.
However, despite the discontent, all resolutions at the meeting were passed.
"The Remuneration Committee carried out a shareholder consultation exercise in early 2019 and was pleased that many shareholders took the time to share their views. Whilst many expressed support for the committee's decisions during those conversations, we note that a number of shareholders still felt unable to support us at the AGM," the company said.
"We will be seeking approval for a new directors' remuneration policy at our AGM in 2020, in line with the normal cycle for renewal," GoCompare.com added.
Shares in the financial services comparison website closed down 3.0% at 79.00 pence on Thursday.
