LONDON (Alliance News) - Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd on Tuesday said it has secured a USD7.5 million payment from the Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq for crude oil exports from the Shaikan field in February.
The payment comprises the monthly contractual revenue Gulf Keystone is due, plus a further payment towards the recovery of past costs.
The February payment, Gulf Keystone said, was lower than the USD15.0 million received in January due to the temporary closure of the Kirkuk-Ceyhan export pipeline.
Earlier Tuesday, Genel Energy PLC as said it has received payments for oil exports from two of its fields in Kurdistan, totalling USD9.7 million to Genel.
Shares in Gulf Keystone were up 0.5% to 7.80 pence, while Genel shares were up 0.4% at 90.60p.
