Home shopping group Findel saw sales in the 39 weeks to January 1 rise by 3% from the same period the previous year, helped by its acquisition of the home entertainment product supplier Webb Group. However, the Kleeneze owner said like-for-like sales were down by 3% from the same period the previous year.Sales from the home shopping division, which now includes Webb Group, were up by 10%, though Kleeneze sales were marginally below the same period the previous year, said Findel.Sales in the educational supplies division were 12% below the same period last year, due to reductions in export and project sales which are irregular in timing but also amid challenging sector conditions, Findel said.
