SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: River & Mercantile up on unit sale talks

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

Dukemount Capital PLC, up 12% at 0.36 pence, 12-month range 0.23p-1.20p. The property management company says it is in advanced stages of talks with financial institutions with regards to the funding it is looking to raise for gas peaking projects via its joint venture with HSKB.

River & Mercantile Group PLC, up 7.6% at 226.00 pence, 12-month range 145.00p-242.00p. The advisory and asset management firm confirms a Sky News report that it is in discussions over the sale of its fiduciary division, known as Solutions. Says it has received "a number of approaches from external parties expressing interest in acquiring its Solutions business".

Literacy Capital PLC, up 4.3% at 220.00p, 12-month range 165.61p-225.00p. Says its Butternut Box dog food business has finalised a funding round to raise further equity to support continued growth. Says Butternut Box value has more than doubled after funding round.

S&U PLC, up 3.8% at 2,927.38p, 12-month range 1,475.00p-2,952.00p. The motor and property finance company says it continues to trade well, ahead of expectations in terms of profitability, collections and book debt quality. At its Advantage Finance unit says that new business gradually increasing, "month by month, to nearer normal levels". Aspen unit has continued the encouraging trends reported in May, S&U says.
