Director dealings: Currys non-exec invests, Caledonia CEO covers tax bill

(Sharecast News) - Currys was on the list of director purchases on Wednesday after its deputy non-executive chair picked up almost £0.1m of shares.

The electricals retailer said Tony DeNunzio bought 200,000 shares on 19 September in a single transaction on the London Stock Exchange.

DeNunzio paid 49p for each share, valuing the transaction at £98,000.00.

On the selling side of things was Caledonia Investments, after its chief executive officer picked up a number of performance shares before selling a tranche to cover his tax bill.

The firm said Mat Masters received 5,398 shares at nil cost under its 2020 performance share scheme on 18 September before selling 2,546.

Masters sold the shares for 3,520p apiece, giving the sale a total value of £89,619.20.

As a result, Masters retained 2,852 shares and now had a beneficial interest in 58,376 shares, or 0.11% of the company's issued capital.

He also held 71,205 performance share scheme awards, or 0.13% of the firm, and 8,463 deferred bonus plan awards, or 0.02%.

At 1628 BST, shares in Currys were up 2.24% at 49.3p, while those in Caledonia Investments were 0.58% firmer at 3,490p.
