Bookmaker services group and early stage bid target Alphameric says trading since June 2009 has been broadly in line with management's expectations.TurfTV joint venture Amrac has continued to perform in line with management's expectations and now has in excess of 10,000 licenced bookmaking offices taking its TurfTV channel. Alphameric Solutions' should trade profitably for the year to 30th November 2009, it added. Cash at end September was £18m.Specialist bio-decontamination technology group Bioquell has been awarded a framework agreement by the NHS's Purchasing and Supply Agency for the supply of bio-decontamination equipment and specialty services into NHS hospitals. The Framework Agreement runs until 30 September 2011, with an option to extend until 30 September 2012.Fund manager Brooks MacDonald reports trading across the group in its first quarter was 'very encouraging'. As at 30 September 2009 funds under management were £1.665bn.Coal and anthracite miner Energybuild nearly doubled profits to £1.89m in the year to June as underground production rose 280% to 114,000 tonnes and saleable coal increased 108% to 239,000 tonnes. Revenues rose from £6.5m to £16.4m. 'The market for coal has softened in line with the general downturn in global economic activity. Energybuild believes it is well positioned to benefit from the next upturn in the market as it looks to further increase production from its high quality anthracite reserves into 2010 and 2011,' it said.
