HOUSTON, April 6 (Reuters) - The 75,000 barrel per day (bpd)crude distillation unit at BP Plc's 413,500 bpd Whiting,Indiana, refinery was back to normal operation on Mondayfollowing a brief shutdown Friday due to a malfunction, saidsources familiar with plant operations.
The 65,000 bpd gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic crackingunit at the Whiting refinery remains shut for repairs, thesources said.
A BP spokesman declined to discuss operations at therefinery on Monday.
The CDU is the smallest of three CDUs that do the initialrefining of crude oil coming into the Whiting Refinery andprovide feedstocks for all other production units.
The FCCU is the smaller of two at Whiting and has been shutsince March 8 for repairs.
