Fri, 20th Nov 2015 07:46

LONDON (Alliance News) - Structural steel and construction safety company Billington Holdings PLC on Friday said it has agreed to acquire a new property from Sabler Enterprises Ltd for GBP2.5 million, plus equipment and other assets at the same site from Sherling Steel (UK) Ltd for GBP2.4 million.

Billington will buy a 25-acre site from Sabler which comprises two industrial buildings. From Sherling Steel, it will acquire equipment and other related assets located on the site.

The company expects to use the site and equipment at Shafton, in South Yorkshire, to complement its existing nearby division in Barnsley and its structural steel division in Bristol.

"It is an exciting period of change for Billington and one that the directors believe will further strengthen the company's market position through increased capabilities, capacity and product offerings," said Mark Smith, Billington's chief executive.
