(Sharecast News) - Biotechnology investor Arix Bioscience announced on Monday that one of its portfolio companies, Imara, has filed a registration statement with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed initial public offering in the US, of shares of its common stock.
The London-listed firm said all shares to be sold in the offering would be offered by Imara.

"Imara has applied to list its common stock on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker symbol 'IMRA'," the Arix board said in its statement.

"The offering is subject to market conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.

"A further announcement will be made in due course."

At 0847 GMT, shares in Arix Bioscience were up 1.61% at 88.4p.
