LONDON (Alliance News) - Amerisur Resources PLC said Friday it has spudded Pintadillo-1 well and has commenced seismic acquisition at the Coendu prospect.
Pintadillo-1 well located in Colombia is targeting the N Sands anomaly in the north of the Platanillo field and was spudded using rig D-10 on August 30. The well is currently drilling ahead at 5,000 feet measured depth.
The 2D seismic acquisition at Coendu prospect in Colombia is expected to complete in September, followed by data processing and interpretation. Amerisur has also initiated the processes required for the preparation of the Drilling Environmental Licence at Coendu.
The South America focused oil and gas exploration company additionally said it has completed the construction and installation works at Chiritza Re-Pumping Station in Ecuador. Once operational, Amerisur will be permitted a minimum throughput capacity of 9,000 barrels of oil per day at its Cuyabeno-Lago Agrio export line.
Amerisur Resources reported unaudited production of 152,721 barrels of oil from its two producing fields - Platanillo Field and the Mariposa-1 Long Term Test - for August. Average daily production stood at 4,927 bopd and peak daily production totaled 5,295 bopd during the month.
"Current production has stabilised and at the right time we may increase production rates at Platanillo-22 whilst preserving the long-term integrity of the well," said Chief Executive John Wardle.
Shares in Amerisur Resources were up 5.7% at 15.01 pence each early Friday.
