Brokers rating in the past 24 hours:
1- Deutsche Bank cuts YouGov price target to 1,000 (1,375) pence - 'buy'
2- HSBC cuts YouGov to 'reduce' (buy) - price target 370 (1,165) pence
3- Berenberg cut its price target on YouGov to 1,200p from 1,350p
4- Peel Hunt retained ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of £15
Surely that HSBC target is incorrect? if not its a huge outlier
On the back of their ridiculous rating of YouGov, I have now sold all of my HSBC shares in protest. What a bunch of idiots.
Nice one bearded! I have a good holding in abrdn would be good to see their reaction. Forms a big part of their smaller co equities fund
I suspect the sp will end up at 440 today.
still a lot of umming and ahhing and it'll be hard to properly understnad what's going on here until we wee the end of ii's selling down, if that's what they're doing. look for the post maket trades to see what's what.
being cynical, until company say something or prove something by buying sh**load of shares and we see what the TR1s say, figure there'll be buying fatigue... but even if it hits 400 the upside, as long as you are happy to hold for a good, good while, should see a good bounce. how high and when is another matter.
gla.
This one caught my attention after the drop yesterday.
As others have suggested, and IMO too, the problem here now is not just one trading update miss.
The balance sheet appears somewhat vulnerable, question marks over the management itself and even after the drop, still on a fairly high P.E, especially so if the next update is not strong.
Which would then underpin the current fear that this is no longer a high growth stock IMO.
Lots still to like here though to my mind, but I would also want to see some significant inside buying before I potentially took the plunge myself.
Without that, still feels like a trade to be had here, but I might not get the chance of course (420's might prove too tempting, if it comes to pass). GLA.
Dont listen to LWHL , he is a serial de ramper. He tied to do the same thing at HARL after selling out. A very untrustworthy character.
Oh dear. Not you. Behave.
Notice how his last sentence is negative. Typical sigh of an ingenuine de ramper. Seems to get a kick out of it Very strange character.
Not point just ignoring criticisms outright because it goes against the grain. there ARE some valid points in the negatives and i suspect that most of the existing holders are looking to add but don't want to jump in without proof the money isn't going to just sit there for months before all the bad news is out and the good news starts making a difference.
What you DO with the points is another matter.
Exactly, Kat. And some LTH's who took some profits along the way here are probably on a nice profit and a free carry now anyway.
I wish I had bought some in 2020, for example :)
And while some of my posts are indeed bearish, plenty are bullish. As my fairly long posting history will evidence.
Like everyone, I get some calls right and I get some (plenty) wrong. In both directions.
But I will push back on false accusations that suggest I am something that I am not.
How dull these chat boards become when some posters try to bully others with a different opinion off the platform.
Anyway, I wish you holders here well. Like I said, plenty to like, even allowing for the obvious current issues.
I will only post on this one again if I buy in - and apologies to all other holders and posters here for this getting de-railed by that particular poster, whose own posting history tells its own story.
If someone sells out it's because they think it's hit its peak. while it'd be better if they then moved on there's nothing stopping them from making that point, that they think it's been overbought.
would you rather you kept on buying and watch it fall once you've added!
I have just bought in, there was some heavy selling this morning and not your average PI Joe, hopefully when that stops we will see a rise to 500. It seems way overdone considering the variation in numbers.
Actually LWHLs posting history tells a story. After selling out he made more negative posts in a couple of weeks on HARL that he had ever made positive ones in the whole of his time as shareholder. I am lying LWHL. This should be funny.
LWHL, are you actually a shareholder here. When did you last post on this BB ?
Yankees hoovering up? seems we are moving up upon their open!
Books turned here nicely!!!
Hopefully the worst is behind us....
Still on for my £5 target today.
In recovery mode now, big close.
For someone who wastes so much time scanning through the posting history of people who you take against, and on the basis you no doubt went over every post I made from my first to my last HARL post, let us settle for you being mistaken on that claim, because my bullish posts comfortably outweigh my bearish posts in that name.
Not that it matters, because, as you seem to struggle to grasp, these chat boards are for sharing ideas and opinions, be they positive or negative. And only fools remain bullish, or bearish, on any equity, irrespective of events or circumstances.
And I bought a few hundred shares here (first time holder, in answer to your question), just to keep my word about not posting here otherwise.
Already sold (and had a stop loss in place in case it bit me), but it was worth it for the principle of the matter. So, a 1.2% profit, (buttons) but the real reward is in being able to reply to your nonsense.
Anyway, good luck to holders here. I hope you make some great profits and have good weekends.
I notice LWHL that although you posted half a page rambling on, you didnt answer my question about HARL. I stated that you posted more posts after you left then you did when you purported to be a shareholder. Is that a lie. Ohh yes , when are you pretending to have bought in here, as you mentioned it.
"Already sold" So you are saying that you are not a shareholder of YOU and you are Already posting negative comments after you sold ?.
