The current yield and low PE is byond my comprehension unless folk have completely misunderstood recent messages from the BOD. By my rough calculations the SP ought to be above 90
E04
''By my rough calculations the SP ought to be above 90''
I imagine you meant to say , that you consider a share price below 90p as being undervalued.
A SP cannot be calculated - the market decides on a daily basis the price at which investors are willing to exchange shares at.
Should know on the 14th May a clearer idea about the start date of the share repurchase programme.
I am sure that many will be hoping for a great increase in valuation over the next 12 months +
Personally I already have enough Vodafone shares after my last purchase at about 64p (didn't reach 62p for a further purchase).
Returns - the coming dividends + buybacks will be an overall increase for shareholders.
Eccles. I agree the sp should be above 90p & so a share price below 90p is undervalued. Sounds the same to me, but don't forget the 14th of May will you??!! Did I say don't forget the 14th May??
I believe the stock is worth 120p
Oi LTI an SP can definitely calculated by me. I simply write down desired numerical criteria (by me) and then do some comparitive math. Thus;- I desire a yield of 9% and a dividend of 9p these are my criteria then the SP calculation is 9p divided by 9/100 giving an SP of £1. The market may have different ideas and criteria but most of the time it is wrong as we all know. LOL
After June when the div is cut to under 4p, and you still want 5% over treasuries, how does the SP calculation look?
It's still around a 5.5% Yield at the current price and there's a good chance Vodafone's stock price is around the bottom, especially with £4 Billion in buybacks on the horizon. If you invest through an ISA, there's a reasonable chance that an investment in Vodafone will outperform Bonds.
Mole, the forthcoming dividend adjustment is a known fact. Its not something that is going to be calculated into the SP at that point. Its priced in already. Mr Market already knows.
Dont come here with known facts pretending they will make a difference to the sp in the future. They wont.
Whilst it is known, I don’t think the market will fully bring the drop into the sp until it is after the last higher payment. Market wants to see how interest rates are by then which greatly effects the calculation, and also of course be looking at how VOD are doing, so waiting for those May numbers.
We are depending on good results to push this share up above 70p, it seems like some of you are very confident they are going to be good, I do hope you are right, all will be revealed very soon
Rob
''all will be revealed very soon''
May 14th I believe
can't wait. i am afraide it vont be vary goode for gutter****e

Longtimeinvestor. What was that date again??? I didn't quite catch it??!!
Dan, i'm not sure of the date, but it's on a Tuesday in May
LTI, just pulling your leg mate
Strange these market commentators that magically disappear when the SP goes up. Which I am afraid is where the vod sp is going, up.
Avocet. Why are you afraid? The vod sp is going up, Top up is my advice.
The vod sp will take off? I think??!! I hope??!!.
If You take the $4 Billion (approx.) share buyback, and roughly work out the amount they can get for say (70-75p each), thank the share price should organically be 90-94p at today’s prices (todays amount minus the reduced share numbers) this share is stuck in the current (60-70p) range.
Needs to either go up or with the reduced dividend go down to may be 50-60p range. Historically was normally 100-120p.
The wheels came off when they had to cash in verizon.
however it should be a £1 share
the problem with vod is their customer service. i left bt a week ago and signed up to vod broadband which was due to go live monday. i just rang vod to ask when my hub will arrive and they told me i won't because they canceled the leaving me with no broadband from monday. thank god i managed to get reconnect with bt. because of this i've decided to start dumping every vod share from today. this is one **** company which has so many problems, it will take years to turn this around and im not willing to risk it here. im buying bt instead as i think thats a better gamble
I’ve just had a similar issue with BT/EE, they cancelled my order 3 times 🤷♀️ wtf, they are all as bad as each other. I’ve been with Vodafone Mobile for over 30 years and Brilliant Home and even better abroad 🥳🥳
Davef24. Why did you leave b.t. ? You give no reason as to why your vod hub did not arrive. Did you do something wrong? You are on the wrong place mate, get back on to vod customer services. What does" they cancelled the " mean? If the vod sp goes up now, then you are a double loser. If the 3 merger goes through the vod customer service should improve, & hopefully the s.p. as well. Good luck with b.t. though in the meanwhile. I am with plusnet, just because I am a vod shareholder does not mean I have to have broadband from them.
i left bt as i was out of contract and they upped my price. now i'm back in a bt contact the price dropped by 45%. also all vod broadband staff are in an indian call centre when bt are uk. vod have to much **** to sort out
