What I don't get with CDT is there has been no negative news to cause the recent fall from $3. To be fair I thought Vela may have dropped further with the dramatic fall of one of our biggest holdings.
“Does a stock need to stay valued above 50 million dollars to stay listed in the Nasdaq index ? “
ChatGPT reply :
“To remain listed on the Nasdaq, a company's stock must meet various continued listing requirements, but there is no specific requirement that the market value must stay above $50 million. However, the Nasdaq does have several financial and liquidity criteria that companies must meet, which indirectly involve market value.
For example, the Nasdaq Global Select Market and Nasdaq Global Market have requirements related to market capitalization, stockholders' equity, total assets, and revenue. Specifically:
Market Value of Publicly Held Shares: For the Nasdaq Global Select Market, the requirement is typically a minimum of $15 million.
Market Capitalization: There are various standards, and companies might need to maintain a market value of listed securities of at least $35 million or more, depending on the specific listing tier and criteria they initially qualified under.
Failure to meet these requirements can lead to delisting, but companies are usually given a notice period and the opportunity to regain compliance before being delisted.”
Not sure but hay ho this is a casino share, big losses but also big gains if you got the balls and cash to hold
Yep shocking CDT!
What are they playing at ?
Yep, northcoders one of higher backed by vela, half a million I think, correct me if I am wrong
Good job Codes doing well, CDT fall continues.
Yep, hope it keeps going strong.
See if CDT starts to rebound.
Doing well today again
So less than 50m then ?
Mainly sold out at a loss, still hold a few
Stupidly I kept topping up over a falling knife.
Have you any shares BigDave ?
This company is dead as a dodo! The time for action was way in the past, too late to change course of this titanic now. Nothing will change, no incentive to.
That thought did cross my mind. They never tell us when they have bought and sold anything. If they have sold the majority of our CDT shares at $2 - $3 then I would actually have too eat my words. I would a tally be very impressed, if only.
I’m not interested in being a board member as I don’t have the qualifications nor experience.
But i do have a lot more common sense than our BoD do!
“ Don't be surprised if the board are selling some CDT at these lows, wages and overheads to pay for remember.”
Much more likely CODE or ENSI which are up ….or SKL which is even .
If they had sold a million CDT at $3.5 and bought back 5 million at $0.7 then that would have been a good trade …
I don't agree with Joe bloggs on much But I completely agree that buying shares is the best thing Brent and JN Could do. I am sure this would show confidence in their investments and that they actually believe the SP will increase. That in turn would increase our own SP. At present they are showing their £5k wages are a Pension top up only and they care very little about PIs and the current SP.
Not at all but I do need to read a little more of your discussion points before a perceived wasted journey. I also feel others on this board would also like to be apprised of some of your Vela wealth enhancing solutions and if they are any good who knows they may even vote you onto the board !
Are you declining this opportunity?
Following your regular postings as many do, I doubt you have very much to offer in the way of a decent strategy to enhance the companies value going forward.
No, but we could discuss in detail in a pub all night.
So that's all you have to offer ?
I would sell shares in an invested company when there’s a decent profit to be realised, e.g Mode @80p.
Ok so you would purchase shares but what would you do to enhance the underlying vale of the company as purchasing shares for your own account does nothing to the underlying value of the company?
Too easy a question, try a bit harder next time!
