Start off for summer vacation 2020: After the travel warning for most countries in Europe is lifted by June 15th, TUI fly takes off south again in the second half of June.
After a three-month break, the first flights to Faro from Düsseldorf and Frankfurt are on the schedule on June 17. At the same time, the ROBINSON Club Quinta da Ria will reopen in the Algarve. The resumption of flight operations in June focuses on the airports in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hanover and Stuttgart. From July, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne-Bonn, Basel, Paderborn and Nuremberg will follow.
“Now we can let the summer vacation 2020 take place and deliver on our vacation promise of the past few weeks. Together with TUI Germany and the target areas, we prepare the restart meticulously so that we can roll back to the start in mid-June. After a run-up phase, we will again regularly head to the most popular sun destinations in Spain, Greece, Portugal and Cyprus with a special flight plan. Of course, we take all the important measures on board to enable our guests to travel safely and relaxed, ”says Oliver Lackmann, Managing Director of TUIfly GmbH.
TUI is currently in intensive discussions with the regional government of the Balearic Islands in order to be able to offer the first flights to Mallorca for package travel customers as part of a pilot project from mid-June. Therefore, the flight schedule is expected to be expanded to include more flights to Germany's most popular sun island. All popular European car travel destinations also receive holidaymakers again. Austria, Croatia and Italy are particularly popular with TUI guests.
“Travel will be a little different this summer than in previous years, but no less beautiful. Overall, it will be a quieter vacation in 2020, without large pool parties or football tournaments, but with cheaper prices, a high relaxation factor and generously separated sun beds. In particular, the employees of our brands ROBINSON, TUI MAGIC LIFE and TUI BLUE have prepared very well for the season and can hardly wait to start the season, ”says Marek Andryszak, CEO of TUI Germany. "We are prepared to offer our guests a varied holiday in proven TUI quality without major restrictions, in compliance with the relevant hygiene and safety measures."
As soon as vacation trips to Turkey, North Africa and the Cape Verde Islands are possible, TUI will also offer these destinations again.
Comprehensive hygiene measures and adapted catering offer on board
