Well firstly its cash which is always good for me. just shows how much more these businesses, mines etc are worth and are still under valued, my second buy out last few weeks of gold miner etc etc. the market is consolidating as everyone sees the cash flowing through.
i wonder if anyone else will come forward with something higher?
Ive owned for two months, increased value by around 40% so can't complain. interesting few months and which miners to go into
I have held for years and added all time including 5000 a couple of days ago.
Well undervalued at 49p but the market will let us know soon!
The Trident Board has also given consideration to the fact that discussions with other potential counterparties that have occurred in recent months, have not resulted in any other proposals being received.
GLA
Very disappointing offer. Far too low, and I'm surprised the board are so fervently in favour of it, given the potential here with TP etc.
I agree Cacher..I bought around £2k worth at around average .42p..I honestly thought share would go considerably...but it is what is ..I think they could push for more but at least it's not a loss.
It was at 60 15 months ago, I was hoping to see it return there given the strength of the portfolio (which if anything is better then given the performance of the metals). Frustrated to see a deal for 49.
Lowball offer - not happy
I sold these at 38p to buy HEX at 10.9p but am gobsmacked at what a low offer this is.
I was always intending to come back here.
When I had the rns alert I thought oh well would have gone for 60p range! Esp after all director buys and it diverse pf!
What a joke! However, If what the bod is saying is true with this quality then imo it’s a red flag for a lot of aim miners and likes if ECOR!
Makes me think the sector isn’t as cheap as we thought!
Anyways congrats to holders. It sure ain’t going lower from here!
Usual caveats
Trek
It's not impossible for this to get voted down. If every PI used their vote and voted against this, it could probably be defeated. Send them back to return with a proper offer.
It basically happened at shanta gold - offer increased from 13.65-14.85 or something.
"The Trident Board has also given consideration to the fact that discussions with other potential counterparties that have occurred in recent months, have not resulted in any other proposals being received."
- it seems odd that Directors bought shares in March at the same time as they were in discussions with other parties
at least another 25% institutional investors who are long term dividend investors.
i'm certainly going to vote against this, its taking the ****
Odd directors were buying lots of shares not long ago which prompted me buy in at the same time and now all of a sudden cash takeover. Now I’m not disappointed as I will use proceeds elsewhere as there is always opportunity to reinvest.
So directors decided to sell and actively sought offers while buying shares.
Stopped looking for royalty deals.
The RNS suggests that there will be a vote ‘at the General Meeting’…but that was last week? How do we vote!
Not the AGM - they'll call a special GM for these resolutions.
"discussions with other potential counterparties that have occurred in recent months, have not resulted in any other proposals being received."
So they were hawking the co around for months without telling holders.
"it has become clear to Trident that certain Trident Shareholders, many of whom have been shareholders since Trident's IPO, would welcome the opportunity for a liquidity event."
Read ; large holders wanted out,BoD felt unable or unwilling to resist, and once again small holders will be trampled on the way out.
Not happy with price or BOD actions.
SP was in high 50's just based on Thacker news and we've not even had a maiden dividend yet! This company has (had) great potential growth over the next 3-5yrs.
The big boys wants their ball back so we're having to liquidate with (imho) a very weak offer.
I don't think there's enough resistance to stop it, so it's probably going to go through😕
It will go through unless this brings out another bid. cheap so they take now, move through and BOD get on new company, shares etc. they buy out before too expensive, not cheap
This offer seems really low as I would have expected 60p plus … such a Shame as this is one of my long term hold stocks .. unfortunately the ii will get their way I fear
What now Trek as that’s another one bought up by the private equity guys and the ones with liquidity are gobbling up assets fast.
whilst not only gold it’s amazing how many are being bought up when the retail investors isn’t hardly in as yet
Why are investors buying at 48p.
Agree that this is disappointing. This was a 5-10 yr hold for me. The sudden change in tone from bullish independent growth and execution of strategy to circumspect caution and a proliferation of risks that may impede success is absolutely shameless. Particularly disappointed that in Adam Davidson I thought I had finally found an entirely candid and straightforward CEO - more fool me.
