Free - given management has had months, nay years to plan the connectivity of the project, why is it that a sub-station construction is the cause of the latest delay? Why would one be being built at one end and yet the other end (it seems) starts construction only after the first one is finished. Not very clever critical path identification and scheduling....
Is it unreasonable for shareholders here to have expected better from the management team?
The one at the Serowe end was an existing substation
Bit more complicated than that mate - but anyways. There was a tx line to construct, 2 sub-stations to work on / construct / connect. We are not inventing the wheel here - not going to play the Capt Hindsight card here but I would really like Free to explain how come their critical path scheduling is 1, 2, 3 rather than reasonably all at once.....
I mean - we are dealing with intelligent capable people here - right.
Not sure how much more complicated you think it is mate...
In addition to the transmission line, an electrical substation is required at the Lesedi end of the transmission line. At the opposite end the line has been connected to the existing BPC substation at Serowe. The substation at Lesedi has being designed to facilitate expansion beyond 10MW which will be beneficial as the projects grows.
Oh i forgot. Again. The idea of management working and drawing salary and spending shareholders money is to build the proof of concept as slowly as possible. Ignore my earlier posts on this topic; its all clear now.
It's called "just in time management".. this allows funds to only be used at the critical point in the process ...absolutely no need to have a substation up and running before there is power to go through it surely! But of course you know better and it's down to bad management and a miss understanding of the process...Says the man locked in in a bedroom in Doncaster!
I'm still keen to understand how it's much more complicated that this re the EXISTING BPC substation...

Of course you guys are right. No point rushing the project after all these years. After all, there is an endless shortage of cash to call on in Botswana. Easy money. And of course dilution doesnt matter either - these types of projects all take billions of shares to deliver. All good, lets move on to the next outstandingly good decision made by Free and his mates.
Endless supply (not shortage)
BOTs don't be like that let us challenge you despite you always bring on the money...
"In short, this current fund raise from sources in Botswana is by no means going to be easy to arrange".

You've tried to shut me down with your 'it's more complicated than that mate' patronising fob off, so (and if you come up with something substantial I'll be happy to better informed), but
I'm still keen to understand how it's much more complicated that this re the EXISTING BPC substation.
From the RNS
"In addition to the transmission line, an electrical substation is required at the Lesedi end of the transmission line. At the opposite end the line has been connected to the existing BPC substation at Serowe"
"Tlou is constructing a coal bed methane (CBM) extraction and power generation plant at Lesedi, west of Serowe in Botswana. A 66kV transmission line and associated substations will connect the plant to the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) grid at Serowe. The grid connection project is divided into two project parts; (i) the 66kV overhead transmission line, and (ii) the substation works at both ends of the line."
Substation Construction
and then
"Substations are required at either end of the transmission line, one to tie Tlou's generators to the transmission line at Lesedi and another to integrate the line with the existing BPC substation at Serowe. This work will be completed by South African based OptiPower, a division of Murray & Roberts Ltd."
and then
Substation Construction
Substations are required at either end of the transmission line, one to tie Tlou's generators to the transmission line at Lesedi and another to integrate the line with the existing BPC substation at Serowe. The planned substation at Lesedi is currently designed for an initial 5MW of power which can be upgraded to 10MW at a later stage with the project anticipated to be completed in early 2024. The Company is now assessing options that may allow the current substation design to be adapted to facilitate expansion beyond 10MW."
Conversely, by the way, if you don't come up with anything substantial it only proves that you're bluffing and will happily chat 5 h i t to try to big yourself up.
I'm happy either way, as ever ☺️
To remind you of your earlier post
Why would one be being built at one end and yet the other end (it seems) starts construction only after the first one is finished
And then again:
Substation Construction
The planned substation at Lesedi was designed for an initial 5MW of power, however the Company is working on options that may allow the substation design to be adapted to facilitate expansion beyond 10MW.
A new substation is required at the Lesedi end of the transmission line whereas at the opposite end, it will tie into the existing BPC substation at Serowe. Including the additional work required to expand capacity beyond 10MW, the substations are approximately 37% complete. It is currently anticipated that the project will be completed around mid-2024.
I will just let Tlou explain how complicated sub-stations are for you directly. I dont feel the need to repeat that it seems there is no urgency on the part of Management to complete the project work. I mean, they are now well used to operating at Africa pace - which is great when you are getting paid (at someone else's expense).
Dont worry fellas. I dont expect you to agree that this is the slowest, laziest management team on AIM. Or ASX probably. Just as i dont expect any of you are capable enough of ever trying to hold them to account. I mean, just reading the shoite you post in supporting the project speaks volumes. You all must be the most successful punters of all time ..... not.
Substations are required at both ends, obviously Work is required to connect to the existing Serowe substation, obviously. Neither of these facts are particularly complicated. Not seeing anything that explains your earlier post that two substations are being built.
Pretty lame effort HB. But sure you and Clooless keep chatting - at least you both have a strategy that can be deciphered. Unlike the management team at Tlou.
Keep up the good work; the more we all chit chat and bicker over meaningless points, the more destroyed this Board is as a forum to market and discuss and promote Tlou. You guys collectively are managing to kill off any meaningful educational interesting relevant discussion points - are you proud? are you happy?
I loooooooove it !!
I've told you many times, I'm always happy, hope you are too.
Lame? Well, if highlighting your bluffing and sub-intellectual pontification to anyone looking in is lame, so be it.
Happy days indeed. Keep your sense of humour, lad, you need it.
Me 2. Always happy, especially when i get a message from one of the fab 3.
Anyone looking in - dont be silly. They checked out years ago. Just bluffers and counter-bluffers lurking around here these days.
Haha, shall we call you and Bob the Dynamic Duo then? Thing is though, at least Bob doesn't TRY to sound clever.
Night all xx
I mean ... really ... is that the best you can offer. You must be tired - good you are off for a snooze.
Does make me laugh that guy who has no experience of running anything other than a bath. Thinks he knows better than the professionals in the gas and power industry. Just shows what an utter Twat he is and has nothing constructive to say and never has had! …. Ever… Apart from 10 years or so of copying and pasting irrelevant articles written for a 3 rd world population…
How do you know what I have run?
It is you that thinks I know better the professionals in the oil and gas industry.
Most people would appreciate if someone posts articles appearing in local press where they have invested their money. Not here though. No class; no grace; and now making disparaging remarks about 3rd world countries and Doncaster. What a truly delightful bunch of happy Tlou investors we have inhabiting this board.
I guess you just find it tough to not react or respond. keep it coming, I am here to help you work out your frustrations with involvement in Tlou. I sympathise with your pain.
BOTS you post articles and don't know what they mean lol, hence the subsidy one you thought ot would be TLOU picking up the bill 🤣

Must be fun for you to keep posting telling me what I dont know. The Fab 4 here seem to get their kicks doing that. Well as long as they are happy .......
