I guess IK would benefit greatly if he holds a high percentage of TGL shares and if CQCL were to reverse in.With his position at Stanhill and as a main man at both TGL and CQCL its seems possible that he could benefit from a RTO involving CQCL!!
he didn't say or imply that CQCL would be the RTO business reversing into here, just that at present, they are not bigger than TGL.With the common directors/officers and current shareholdings in CQGL,I guess IK could bring about the optimum situation by putting more of his own cash into them at any time he wanted in some form or other??
It appears that they are interested in CQCL but unless they increase in value or TGL drops significantly then an RTO surely is not possible. As TGL have asked IK how many shares he has there must be a reason & why RNS this. How many shares does IK have in CQCL & if they merged with TGL what would his percentage holding be then? I am a holder & have been for some time Having sed that I recently topped up my WRN holding after selling some of my TGL holding @ 0.93p Might work then again might not. Knowing my luck probably the latter. GLAHs whatever happens
Hedgehog100, I don't get why TGL might want to bring in another tech private company before CQL, if that is the expected RTO.
"Quantum computers will leave Moore’s Law far, far behind by Signe Brewster MAR. 19, 2014 - 1:16 PM PDT ... Classical computers are only as good as the number of transistors they have. According to Moore’s Law, that number doubles every two years. That pace may soon slow, but there’s an alternative: quantum computing, which relies not on transistors but on particles to perform calculations much more quickly. ... D-Wave is also continuously improving the speed of its computer. Brownell said it follows what the company likes to call “Rose’s Law,” after its founder: every two years, it will quadruple the number of qubits (particles coaxed into a specific quantum state) its computers run on, “more or less like clockwork.” Like transistors, more qubits equals more power. And D-Wave has already progressed from a computer with 128 qubits to an upcoming machine with 1,000. ..." D-Wave's progress in line with Rose's law, i.e. quadrupling the number of qubits (quantum bits) every two years, would be exponential: 2014: 1,152 qubits 2016: 4,608 qubits 2018: 18,432 qubits 2020: 73,728 qubits This sort of electrifying progress might have seemed fanciful only about a decade ago. For D-Wave, it should mean that it will be able to IPO in the next year or so with a multi-billion dollar market cap. And in the second half of this decade I believe that "quantum computing" will come to be the term on everyone's lips, as the implications of the quantum computing revolution sink home. More revolutionary indeed than the internet revolution, which is 'merely' the transfer of information, whereas quantum computing enables the creation of it ... at revolutionary new levels. If the internet boom was the apéritif, then quantum computing could be the main course.
St6phen, Interesting that TGL contacted IK to check his holding, and that there's been no notification of any acquisition or disposal. It seem the sort of thing they might do prior to some sort of corporate deal. Jc111 posted this on ADVFN earlier today: "jc111 11 Oct'14 - 10:42 - 1103 of 1113 1 0 Around this time, you will see Holdings often being swapped/ sold, agreed to back this company, look out for more announcements. Circa 50% of the Stock is in Safe Hands. Free Float of circa 20%. Wait for the News. It will be Big. A Tech Injection will massively Multiply the SP here. It will happen. Porshes all round ( nice line Bobby ! )"
Thanks Bampster. It's fantastic news that Trevor Wells, company secretary of both TGL and CQCL, appears to have indicated to you in a phone call yesterday that CQCL IS destined for TGL! This would be the first time that a company insider has been reported as doing that. The conversation also suggests that TGL is likely to deal with another tech company first, while CQCL raises funds. This confirms a couple of things I have said previously (at least on ADVFN): - TGL might be packaging together more than one business prior to the RTO. - A RTO is likely to come with funds, as in the case of Stanhill's last two (ZOL and MEN). This is looking like it will be absolutely huge.
Weird how tiny trades were yesterday? No liquidity perhaps as the buyers have hovered up most of shares people were silly enough to let go of?
is the founder of Cambridge Quantum and its non-exec chairman and Stanhill funded the start up of Cambridge. Now I wonder how could CQ become a suitable RTO target.Oh and IK was CEO at TGL but has stepped down but holds around 12% of TGL shares
Just had a chat with Trevor Wells, the company secretary who confirmed he was also the CS of Cambridge Quantum. He said under RTO rules the company they RTO must be larger than TGL and for the present Cambridge Q are not.He confirmed they have until next June to complete theRTO but expected things to happen more quickly. He said they had a target lined up but decided in the end they did not quite fit the bill.I asked him if Charles Goodfellow was brought in to use his expertise to find the right deals and he confirmed. Trevor said he actually works for Stanhill Capital and their founder and senior partner Ilyas Khan held/holds around 12% of TGL shares.Look at Stanhill's site,it is very impressive and they have a track record of taking over struggling companies and transforming them.I get the feeling the Cambridge connection will bear fruit but something else may happen sooner.Trevor is a director of Stanhill and deals with compliance coming from a financial services background.I think the B.O.D will achieve great things here and are clearly activelt pursuing opportunities
Yes, mate. Still in here. Just holding patiently and waiting quietly for the news to drop at TGL (and AFPO). The results RNS recently indicated TGL's BoD is closing the loop on a tech deal, so it shouldn't be too much longer to wait for an update. Overall, the AIM market is back in a bear situation again at the moment (October), so it is just a case of holding and waiting for the tide to turn. September was multibagger-central, but October (for all stocks) has gone a little flat for the time being.
value after RTO could be anything. If it is the Cambridge boffins Quantum company it may be very substantial
I see the non-exec director Mr Goodfellow is also on board of ACO who successfully RTOd an oil company and saw their sp rise accordingly It says on his cv that he specialises in targeting early and development stage companies,I guess that Cambridge Quantum company would fall into that category?
at advanced stage with Tech company.Sounds very promising!!
could this become the next google if the Quantum RTO happens soon??
on the leader board now.We know discussions are ongoing and if it is the Quantum deal it could be huge!!
I think the .745s are buys. The RTO could be announced at any time so any serious buying may be the signal
late buy of 1,000,000 shares last night.News ever nearer
We had it all this week so far , I think we levelled out again now , back to where we were start if the week really
Very quiet today.

Can't understand the drop today
