People miss the point on what China is trying to do. Whilst it's true they require vast amounts of copper for the green energy revolution, EVs, wind turbines etc, as well as the construction industry (when it recovers) their procurement of companies is far more strategic than that. Firstly, as with all precious metals, they start off as an importer. They then monopolise the supply and become an exporter. But only when they have enough control over the demand to control the price. They'll soon control Asia, Africa AND South America, including Cascabel..in my opinion anyway. Its simply too big for them to ignore.
I don’t see the copper crunch playing out but if the hoax lasts long enough to sell this for a premium then all the better
It’s still a good play for me. Gold is about to rerate.
The US must refinance $12 trillion of its debt later this year so it’s clear as day interest rates will drop near zero paving the way for gold to charge
HFH ….. the thing with the Chinese is that they may not necessarily want to buy it now but they certainly wouldn’t want anyone else to ….. what we really need is verified interest from outside china to really spark this off
From HH on x... Interesting
'What is interesting from PDAC is Minister of Energy and Mining had a scheduled meeting with BHP and no press commentary from this. Also the definitive $SOLG CIPA will be formally signed in Ecuador & I anticipate other work streams will come to light this week once rubber stamped.'
Livening up a bit now.
1984,
You think interest rates will drop? Have a peep at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Qz7jVbXfEo

Who's HH?
Yeah Mathers I agree with a lot of what she says we’re going to see some banking crisis fairly soon, we’re certainly going to see a flee from greenback to gold but we’re also definitely going to see rates at 0% to try and save the dollar
That will of course have ripple effects here as we follow suit.
The exponential levels of increase in debt in the west being papered over by money printing can only last so long before chickens come home to roost
We are sat on a mountain of gold on this stock. Only confiscation or other geopolitical risks can stop this becoming a massive payout
HH is an opinionated twat who thinks he knows how a spread getting platform works better than someone who actually built one!
Here you go bud...

HFM - cheers fella
DBW that's the good thing about Cascabel, whilst some will look at it as a copper play, others like Barrick will definitely see it as a gold play. I think we'll see multiple bids this year which means it's not going to be cheap..whoever eventually wins.
It’s definitely a gold play, even the likes of Jiangxi are hiding behind the copper story.
Only gullible morons think that the world is going net zero
Nice to be the first post of th day after a walk along the beach!
I agree with hereforhemo and expect share price to spike with multiple bids this year. Majors simply cannot ignore what Cascabel and surroundings offer. Possibly more than one Tier One a possibility? Remember we offer both a Au & Cu play but, what about THE SILVER?!!!!!! That must spike as well in the near future and will outperform the others for a short period of time, I suspect!
Is today our day for more positive news? Hope so!

Errrrmm.......2nd post actually!
:-)
And who was first, Copperpot, he, he!!!?
I wonder what has happened to Broke Novice.Com and some of those other lovely posters? The lady with the Sprinkels and the one that use to go fishing every now and again!!!!/
Good morning Eish.
You are missing the point.
Solgold are committed to spending 3.2 billion dollars.
This is not speculation, it was announced by the government.
So it's going to happen, we just don't have the details.
It fits in with the two finance guys.
We just hired.
No one is going to bid for us, because that certainly would have equated to a RNS.
That is market sensitive information in a big way.
Also if someone was going to bid for us, we wouldn't have hired the two finance guys.
The money is in the process of being arranged.
Certain undertakings have been exchanged between Solgold and the government otherwise no announcement would have been made.
We just await the form in which this will take.
Please feel free to speculate how this may take place.
But the only thing we can be sure of is it's going to happen.
Hence the announcement.
Probably all still here like my good self! I'm still fully loaded and happy sitting back watching the show unfold. I'm happy with what I see, I'm sure the other guys are too!
Quady, in this scenario where Solg source the funding themselves, including a JV, what multiples of the share price do you anticipate?
Good morning Fomad.
I have no idea, it depends how it is done.
Hence more info to become available.
I do believe that the information we get in the short term, will guide us in how Cascabel is constructed.
As I should imagine finance will be staged and we are going to have to do more than outline the various stages of construction.
Unfortunately this is what is going to take time, hence we still have some way to go.
So the share price increased 30% during the week prior to the effective date of the technical report, being 31 December 23.
Coincidence? Insider buying?
Morning Q, yes, the corporate entity has committed to spending 3.2bn, but the question is, who will own that entity?
If the business is sold, the commitment simply passes to the buyer. I take it you can see the difference?
Fomad - I believe a successful bid for Solg (should it take place) will be in excess of the NPV figure of 3,2B. So 100p +
Good morning addicknt.
Understand, however what we can say is no bid is on the table at the moment and not only was the undertaking taken, it was accepted.
Hence our current position.
