Thanks, mog.
The comments relating to slide 13 are interesting. It's blindingly obvious that ALL options are still very much on the table.
In the interests of balance, I do wonder why the Chinese, by implication, are still described as 'tyre kicking'. Presumably they had a clear idea of what they were doing when they first invested and they've had access to the data room for nearly 12 months. So the question is ; what's holding them back? They quite obviously didn't invest simply to have a punt.
Thanks for that mog999.
A J/V or farm in is a possibility....if not, we go alone! Some will still say this is BS......and that's after hearing it from the horses mouth! Arren Wirwin is misleading a few folk here.....shame on him.
Copper, that's a very one-sided interpretation and I would suggest you listen carefully to what he said on slide 13.
Yes, we are open to a jv, but we are also willing sellers. As I said in my previous post; ALL options are being considered.
Morning Add, a sale will only happen at the right price. I don't think that "right price" will emerge??? If it does I would be oner the moon!
So for me at the moment it's a J/V and production. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong....I'm just stating my opinion buddy.
Good luck.
Copper, indeed, and I'm not saying you're wrong. I was merely pointing out that a full disposal is still very much an option.
Everything SC is doing at the moment is designed to make us appear not to be forced sellers and to allow us to enter negotiations from a position of relative strength i.e cash in the bank.
I think the one thing we can all agree on is that we will not be doing this on our own.
"Everything SC is doing at the moment is designed to make us appear not to be forced sellers and to allow us to enter negotiations from a position of relative strength"
Opinion stated as fact, as is typical from this one. I would counter that everything SC is doing at the moment is to make us a viable company and get the share price out of its current hole. A company who has just signed a term extension and exploitation agreement is thinking about how to exploit the resource? Shocker. Must be because they are trying to sell?! 😂
Hi add, if it was Cascabel as a single entity, or indeed Alpala it would simplify things massively. Fortunately we have another (much better) scenario on our hands! FOMO is playing out here, I think the bigger players....our (potential) J/V partner/partners want a part of the lot. The government are pulling a lot of the strings here.
Right, I have a few things to do, good luck.
Copperpot, the CGP boys need an exit. A JV or farm in is not likely to deliver that unless Maxit et al sell their shares to the JV partner which can't be underestimated (I'm alright jack approach) as they offloaded a chunk to BHP some years ago.
If a JV gets announced then I think you'll see a counter offer or alternative offer by Newmont or BHP or both. That's the point here.... it's not what gets announced.... it's what happens after that announcement. There are many super majors out there that are very keen on copper and are struggling to find tier1 gold mines that are 100% owned and not fragmented. There are many super majors in Ecuador right now and many are not getting anywhere fast due to licence issues and handcuffs on new mining permits. I don't think BHP will let this opportunity slip by. Copper is soon to be the hottest metal out there.
Just as a point of interest, with all this go it alone talk if nobody wants us.
why do you think we can make a go of going it alone, if as appears patently obvious
none of the big experts in mining think were a viable proposition.
also addict, do you think its possible, to answer your question as to why,
the Chinese are still tyre kicking after having a year to access the data room.
its probably because they dont like what they've seen.
much the same as the ex financial director, who ran for the hills after reading the books
Addict, as I pointed out the other day to somebody else like yourself who doesn't understand the
philosophy of the big mining companies. they actually do invest millions in small exploration companies on a punt. very much so. I believe bhp have invested five hundred million in small companies.
there thinking is, most will go broke, but you only need one or two to hit the jackpot,
if the facts are of interest to you I can post some links, for you to do some research
Dangerous, unfounded scaremongering from our resident clown yet again.
Padmaster. go onto bhp ventures web site. see how many mining companies there invested in.
FACTS.
just trying to explain some of the basics of exploration mining. I think it will help you and others make
more informed posts in the future
AgArCu, even by your standards that was a p**s poor post.
Thank you Mog999 for posting yesterday's presentation.
Just listened to it.
That's it we are going to production, no doubt was left.
First when Scott says we are looking at all options, he makes clear these are financing options, we are not going to sell unless we get a stand out offer.
Next he says we can take this to production on our own.
Surprised no one pointed that out.
He says it after slide 13.
Only DBW, Redknight and a few others remain delusional.
We are proceeding at a reasonable speed now.
We will build this either as a JV or on our own as Scott has said.
Looking at all our options, doesn't mean sell.
He is referring to looking at all finance options.
Offtake was also mentioned.
Also the fact that we are talking to people about other tenements is encouraging.
But Solgold are going to construct Cascabel.
AgArCu,
If you've ever sold a company or engaged in some form of corporate activity you'll understand the need to do so from a position of strength and that means having cash. Or do you disagree? I know you know this, but it's very typical of you - you're simply being obtuse for the sake of it.
You state the purpose of what's going on at the moment is to make the company viable in order to improve the share price. Well, that's going well, isn't it.
The second point is that we are clearly hoping to find ourselves in some form of negotiation - the company has said it enough times and it was repeated yesterday. Perhaps you haven't quite got the message?
Every option is being examined and unlike you, I'm capable of understanding what that means. I don't know which way this will go, although I'm perfectly clear as to which way I'd prefer. You, on the other hand, pretend you do know and present your opinion as fact. Pot, kettle.
"Everything SC is doing at the moment is designed to make us appear not to be forced sellers and to allow us to enter negotiations from a position of relative strength"
This is you presenting opinion as fact, like the pius tool you are.
No, SC's efforts to repair the damage caused since DC's departure is not going well- when did I say it was?
I believe it's better to sell a company from a position of strength. But (call me a traditionalist) I also think it's wise to sell a company to a buyer!! 😂 Who is the buyer, wise guy?
Unsurprisingly, you've deliberately misinterpreted my post.
If we had no cash we may well find ourselves in the position of being forced sellers. I assume you've understood that part of the sentence? The second point is that we're hoping to enter into negotiations ( for context read my other posts about all options) of some form and cash allows us to do so from a position of strength. This is a fact. Or do you disagree?
As to your final point, none of us know what will emerge, not even a genius like you.
p.s 'pius' (sic) has an 'o' in it.
I haven't misinterpreted your post at all. You said
"Everything SC is doing at the moment is designed to make us appear not to be forced sellers and to allow us to enter negotiations from a position of relative strength"
You presented the idea that everything SC is doing is about appearances. You said that exactly. Do YOU accept that he might actually be trying to advance cascabel? Like he, um, said he was?
Thanks for spelling tips 👍 you don't speak Latin, I guess? Once again, your age hasn't actually brought you any wisdom.

AgArCu, so you normally write in latin? Makes sense, most people in this country do.
And yet again you persist with your wilful misinterpretation. Why don't you read my other posts? They explain my view and it is not that a takeover is guaranteed - unfortunately.
Nal, yes, I'm fully aware of BHP's position. I was referring to our Chinese shareholders. But thanks anyway.
Add, did you get hacked? Was it someone else who said
"Everything SC is doing at the moment is designed to make us appear not to be forced sellers and to allow us to enter negotiations from a position of relative strength"
Everything. Everything SC is doing. Every little thing. Do you see it yet?! Not misrepresenting: it is exactly what you wrote. Now grow up and accept that you were presenting (misguided, it will prove) opinion as fact. I was right to call you out on it.
As for my use of Latin, mea culpa. I should have known that your education level helps explain your lack of understanding here.
Padmaster, ref your post accusing me of scare mongering. regarding my claim bhp invest in many companies.
now ive furnished evidence of my claim, I was just wondering if you could produce a ditty, showing the error in your ways.
something simple maybe, just mention facts getting in the way of wishful thinking.
Quady. Your 8th Aug post below shows you have a perceived extensive knowledge of minining.
Where did you gain this knowledge so quickly.
At the end of July you told adikt solg was your first mining stock. You must be one of those quick learners. To be an expert on block caving so quickly.
Good on you.
Mining by access decline can be done in two different ways.
Really all this is, is tunneling to the parts you want to mine, and using a matrix of cuts to blast and recover the ore.
However if we are going to a block cave operation at a later date, I am surprised that we are talking about this.
It can be done, but has to be planned in advance.
Maybe this is another version of the PFS
