SC really be presenting at the Hannam shindig if he was worried about delivering the finance package? We have 16 working days before the loan is due for repayment, so if there were too many worries you'd have thought his time would have been better spent hammering out the details. It would take some brass balls to stand up in front of an audience and tell them all is well with the world if in fact the solids were about to hit the fan.
There's also the question of venue. I assume he's attending in person, so why would he come all the way from Quito just to attend yet another conference?
I believe Eversheds in London produced the various documentation for the loan and Charge, so I wonder if they will also be preparing the legals for the package? This would make sense, both for continuity reasons and as an explanation for Caldwell's visit.
I'm not remotely complacent about the outcome, but there appears to be plenty of positive indications of success. Fingers crossed, a lot is riding on this.
Incidentally, having emailed the company with my findings about the loan, overnight I finally received a reply from CS confirming FN as being the lender. Fair play to him, but he must have assumed the RNS had escaped my attention.
Good morning everyone, I think today will be a good day for us. Looking forward to seeing what SC has to say at Hannam and partners today
There will be lots of investors watching! Something is going on in the background that's for sure!
Goodluck all, hold for gold. Not long now until we hear the good news of who's interested, who's financing etc
Share price has been too low for too long. Time to let it go.
Let us see whether Scott can deliver more than hot air heh Add😆 Hopefully he will not mentio The Rocks!!
Addicknt thanks for the detective work!
Is SOLG attending this year's Expominas in Quito?
Great piece of detective work Add!
Are we not all expecting an important RNS this morning? Unfolding of the various Solgold mysteries ?
Just asking for a friend, LOL!
In my experience there comes a point in any negotiation of this kind when the vibes change and you get a pretty clear view if the deal has legs or not. The atmosphere changes and the adversarial nature of the discussions morphs into a more collaborative venture.
Of course, you virtually always end up with tedious argy-bargy in the final meetings, which often involve balls-achingly dull all nighters as the lawyers parade their macho pride in a ludicrous attempt to outwit the other side's lawyers, whilst simultaneously racking-up as much in fees as possible. But if the principals are robust enough they can instruct the spotty herberts to get on with it.
So are we at the point where the point where the vibes have changed? Are the main elements of the package already agreed? Has credit committee given approval? (this is the biggest challenge. If they say no, they very, very rarely go back on the decision)
I wouldn't want to hazard a guess, but I come back to the point in my original point - why is he here?
No RNS, hence nothing of any significance I would wager. Just a jolly for Scott to get away from Quito.
Eloro,
You wanted a RNS before the event has actually happened? You were informed that the event is today, so what else do you expect before this event?
Such a negative Fwit, most depressing poster I know
Try and enjoy your life instead of looking for the next whinge ffs
Was just about to say. No need for an RNS right away
It's going on behind the scenes. This is getting closer every day! Finance package going to be released soon. Within a few days and next week will be hot! Let's see. Today should bring new investments on board. Nobody can ignore SolGold and cascabel anymore.
Hannam are a highly regarded investment bank specialising in mergers and acquisitions and have acted for amongst others BHP in transformational transactions.
Whilst I expected confirmation about the royalty deal today, I'm more excited about why we haven't.
Majors been spooked into action??
MF I don't think I can compete with you in being a pratt. You should consider pulling your finger out of your jacksie before having a go.
Many here expect that important news will be communicated by Scott today. Surely he would need to rns any price sensitive news before mentioning it in a presentation? No rns, clearly he will not be speaking on anything price sensitive and therefore nothing of any significance. Not hard to grasp even for you master pratt😆
Eloro, do you honestly believe that with 16 days to go and negotiations at a critical point, he would come to London for the sole purpose of a 'jolly'?
How can we possibly believe ELORO.
He makes out he is all in, stuck at a high price .
And it's all SC fault.
Although SC wasn't even in charge, when ELORO allegedly bought in circa 30p.
He is like the boy who cried wolf!!
Scratch that MF, CMG is an even bigger pratt than both of us😆 He failed to get my old Buddy NAL banned from here, now he is turning his illiterate attention to moi. Don't concern yourself with how I chose to invest my money CMG. Far better for you to focus on attending night school to improve your literacy😆
Yes Add, I do. And, we will know today that he won't have said nowt of significance. Then folks will be asking why did he bother to come? Already Hubris is asking for the promised slides which haven't turned up. I think it's because the slides are more of the same....you know, 1st mover advantage and all that!
Strong buy!
What this be let go later and tomorrow and into next week! Goodluck all.
Come on Scott. Do us all proud.
Eloro, in which case there's very little that can be done to help you.
Eloro.
Let's be clear , I didn't try and get potty mouth banned.
Many reported him for his constant insults on every post he made onto others.
I'm the fool....
Hardy .
Maybe if you listened, and actually read my posts.
You might have made a bit of coin .
BUT WAIT....
You hold not one share here, you are just like NAL
A disruptive poster.
Let have a post mortem tomorrow Add. Then I will apologise if he actually said more than The Rocks😆
Eloro, where have I said he would be announcing anything today? Answer: nowhere, and certainly not during a presentation. It appears you have completely missed the point I was making.
Add, I don't recall posting that you specifically said that he would be saying something of significance. I said folks, not Add.
Too busy to go through the posts and id those who expected an rns today because they thought he would release one ahead of his revealing presentation!
NAL old Buddy, which one is Raspberry and which one is Strawberry? CMG definitely comes across as a Raspberry😆 All tart with with no taste😆
Morning addicknt
In my opinion, Scott is in London for one last push for a complete sale (or enhanced finance terms from interested parties).
'Last chance' conversations to say take-it-or-leave-it.
I don't think he would fly all this way for the usual corporate presentation to people who have heard it all before.
There are rumours that SC and Solgold will not, in fact, present today at the Hannam event. If this is true, how would we interpret this? It would suggest that the Company does not see the meeting as important at this time. Time will tell.
