Conotetas does hold your breath. Im hoping that President Lasso will force Solgolds hand to do a deal (JV/takeover. I don't care, move it forward). BHP, FMG, Newcrest, Barrick or Coldelco, the list is long.
Solgold can't build this mine. The mine has to be built in this decade. Two years for a French translation.... I dont trust that Ingo will find it easy raising billions. Only a dodgy sales person would say that. I lost trust many years ago. However I feel Darryl is the key for Solgold.
I'm hoping SOLG has been cagey on good news for a reason. RIO Amarillo??? Chillanes/warintza outcropping looks good!
The cash at hand is low, just like our share price.
Time is running out for the Nick and his pay check. See you at the next AGM. The only way I'm going to vote to keep Nick as a director is if our share price is above 41p and has been above that price for a while. I want a deal to be done this year and im not holding my breath.
Fancy basing your vote on the re-election of a non-executive director solely on the share price...
Ridiculous doesn't really cut it.
It's no wonder we find ourselves in this situation with lots of PIs baying for a transaction when that is the line of thought.
One thing I will say is that SolGold need to do something. The 2022 AGM moved into the crosshairs the moment the 2020 AGM took place and the voting intentions of our major shareholders became known.
I suspect management are battening down the hatches here because they know full well that BHP won't care what the share price is come December. In fact, the lower the better for them.
You only have to ask yourselves why SolGold didn't seek finance in Q1 or early Q2, especially with Norges accumulating on the open market.
I said then that the writing was on the wall and I've not seen anything since to change my view. It's too late to raise regional exploration funds now, re-mobilise rigs and hope for a third significant discovery.
The market will probably just trade it anyway.
Ridiculous is that you think Nick Mather is only a non-executive director, he is the puppeteer of Solgold and has been calling the shots from day one. I’m here only for a ascending share price. Why are you here? Cut the sh it and do the maths. Nick has done a lot of good work and some self-righteous moves. I don’t want to see another SXX. Moving this on this year will be a great thing for the sustainably of the Ecuadorian people. Sell the Alpala concession and keep the regional projects works for me. 4 subsidiaries must be worth something. It’s called business.
"... the puppeteer of SolGold..."
Come on Bob, what does that even mean?
Nick was CEO for a long period which covered some pretty serious share price ascendancy as it happens. This is important to us all of course, but I don't base all my decisions off it in isolation.
I think we have to look at the current position for what it is. Nick is on the board and therefore should have an influence in certain board decisions. How fair it is to call him a puppeteer though on the basis that people he employed take his counsel (to some extent) I'm less sure.
We now have a CEO and a new CFO. Both in position. It's about time, in my view at least that we disassociate Nick Mather as being in control of SolGold's destiny.
It's not unfeasible that Nick is one of the board members not re-elected In December yet we don't see a bid of suitable JV approach in 2023. How do we reconcile that Bob?
Bob did you write this 3 weeks ago?
"“Joint BHP-Newcrest bid for SolGold 'within months”15 Jun 2022 08:15
Well I hope it’s worth the wait for the update on Porvenir. Hopefully good news is coming.
It doesn’t worry me if no bid appears this month. I’ll like to see FMG accumulate some shares in Solgold, to put the ****s up BHP.
END
Next we'll have Sean ranting and raving bout the share price rising 10% in last 2 days. It's juts not cricket is it!
Grumble when it drifts down and grumble when it zooms up. You couldn't make it up. SOLG BoD's must laughing their heads off.
